Cyber Secuirty Sales Engineer

My ideal job for the distant future is a Sales engineer, mainly associated with cyber security. I’ve selected this position as its accommodated with a generous income, making it a hard job obtain, however this will allow for the motivation of self to create self improvements to allow for the attainment of the job. This job appeals to me as it has a lot of challenges, facing many clients. This job is highly looked upon as it involves high participation to the company directly itself as i would be the one to be “closing the deals”, showcasing many presentation and involvement with the client, which allows me to connect to the client and proceed with the business deal which is a important part of the criteria of the dream job which i wish to work in. I wish for a goal to work towards either this will be career advancements or pay increments, this will allow me to motivate myself at this job.

Required Qualifications and Experience

For this job, there is many years of experience required, involving high understanding in cyber security and high technological understanding. For this job, presentation is key, this will allow for the negotiation with the client and closing of business deals, meaning social skills will be highly necessary for the execution of the job. The job requires an external industry certification relating to IT such as CISSP(Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) and etc, this is to ensure that they are employing someone with adequate knowledge of the industry.

Qualifications and Experience

Currently i have not achieved many of the requirements for this job, however this is a long term goal which i'll chip towards slowly. Although i have confidence in presentation skills, this still needs to be strongly refined to be able to fulfill the role of negotiation as i am unable to think on spot while put under pressure. Throughout childhood, i've been surrounded by technology, spending hours a day in front of a computer exploring its endless possibilities, nurturing my knowledge in technology and gaining a basic understanding of its capabilities and how it works. This although seems like a good understanding this is not merely enough for the position of the job, where i'll have to dive deep into the specifics and how each individual concept work together to create the hardware.

Long Term Plan

For myself to acquire this required skills and qualifications for the Sales Engineer Cyber Security role, i would need to refine my expertise in many fields. I would require to refine my presentation skills and my ability to think on spot without the hindrance of pressure. I would need to gain knowledge in cyber security, and pre-sales engineer, working in firms to advance my knowledge to fulfil the long term goal.
